Athena's son Dante

Dante doesnt remember alot of his mother and father, he only knows that they are dead. at the age of five his parents where killed by demons.
he was then taken in by a man called anthony redgrave who was in the business of slaying demons and other creatures that have killed humans or where trying to do so.
They where payed well and Dante got the two guns that where specialy treated by the vatican to burn/smite the unholy.
Money kept on rolling and they where able to enjoy a good pizzaeach day.
Though dante hates olives, he always eats them because anthony did so.
A few months after his 17th birthday, he started having visions of a woman, calling to him in his sleep.
It was on one of those nights that he woke up while the house was on fire.
He ran through the house and found the mangled body on anthony, and a bunch of demon's.
It was that night that Dante's power's where awakened.
He shot and punched through each and every present demon and slaughtered them all.
Shortly after the incident, he burned anthony's remains and started looking for the woman whom he had spoken to in his dreams.

"yes i have, i have trained with my new adition. can you remember that i asked you about a certain sword last time ?. well in any case, that's the one"
as he picked up his sword of the floor and mounted it on his back, a shock pulsed trough his head just like last night. it was something that seemed to resonate from his very soul. it had been a feeling he didnt like at all, though he couldnt stop it nor start it.
as he fell to his knees, he put his hands to his head and started moaning and his teeth shaped into sharp fangs. he used bone manipulation to do so, since morphing his bones wasnt the best feeling there was, he used this to take some of the strain of of his head.

"Why now, why of all times does it have to happen now"

"What's .... on ... Shin"
this was all he heard her saying, as searing pain was going troughout his body, he tried to ease the pain even further as bones started sprouting in and out of his body. as his pupils widened, the pain was suddenly gone. he opened his eyes, and saw a village in the distance. as he tried to run towards it, he didnt seem to get any closer to it. as he started running faster and faster, the village seemed to actually get further away from him. the thing he was undergoing was actually about the what had been going trough his mind for a long time. he tried to get stronger to defend the village by defecting, though it seemed that by every step, he actually got further away. back in the real world, the conversation carried on.
"Hello there girl. what are you doing here so far from the civilized world. you look like someone i know, though i cant place it. maybe you're an enemy" shinzui said as he grinned at the girl.

using the knowledge of magical properties and the blueprints of his mother athena, he made a two handed sword that resembles a skeleton.
he made it look like this because of the intimidating look it would get, it is also a testament to his respect for Hades and athena.

it contains part of Dante's essence and the skulls eye sockets seem to glow red when Dante becomes enraged.

The sword is almost just as durable as Dante himself, infact it shares most of his characteristics. its intimidating, sharp and almost indestructible.

~Origin~
These where a gift from his mentor and former boss Anthony redgrave. He gave these guns to Dante so he could protect himself and do his job.
They have been enhanced by Athena so they no longer require to be reloaded, but shoot magical rounds.
They have been specialy treated by the vatican to leave burn marks on greater unholy beings and smite lesser unholy creatures.

they fire rounds that can burn/smite unholy beings and just shoot trough/harm others it hits like a regular gun.

Dante got this from his mother so he could reach her from a distance when he needed guidence.
it was made from the blood of Athena, Dante and Anthony's ashes.

The outfit was a gift from Dante's mother, because he always got his clothes mangled, burned or worse.
his mother made it so that it wouldnt be damaged, saying that if stabbed by a sword, it would pass trough the clothes and cut Dante.

Demon essence

~Origin~
it originally came from a demon that had made it's way out of tartarus. It was thought that the demon was a strong servant of kronos the titan. It was killed by athena and it's fiery essence was sealed in a small orb made out of orihalcon, a rare metal found only on olympus. The demon itself had been killed, but the essence itself continued to exist. since it was something that had spawned in tartarus, it was strong and would look for a soul to merge with and grant it's power to it.
The orb had been carried on athena for many years, but when it came close to dante, the essence resonated with him and it's essence entered Dante's body. With help from his mother, he learned how to control his new power.
He can call on to it when he feels like it. Though Dante is a man who prefer's a fair fight above easy victory, he uses it very rarely in combat.

Enhanced strength:
Dante becomes 40% stronger then normally.

Enhanced Speed:
Dante becomes 30% faster then normally.

Enhanced body features:
Dante get's claws on his feet and hands.

Devil energy: Because his body absorbed a demon's essence, he now has the ability to tap into the demon's powers wich are now his own. Though he hasnt unlocked all there is to his power, he can use his devil's energy to make short, fast dashes or suddenly release it in a burst of energy. (not a powerup, used to deflect).

~Abilities~

Dash: In Devil form, Dante can use the dash ability.
He can use fast, short dashes to get behind/infront of an enemy or quickly dodge an attack.

Thick skin: In Devil form, Dante's skin becomes chitinous and is stronger then that of the average human. Though it is strong, it's not impenetrable. It can stop an average sword, but can be penetrated by something with high velocity, like an arrow, spear, bullets etc.
It can also be penetrated by someone with alot of strength or sword expertise.

Vanguard: In Devil form, Dante will charge his devil energy in every part of his body. He will then suddenly release it and a small shockwave will be sent out around his body. The momentum of this attack is strong enough to deflect bullets or arrows, something larger like a trowing spear would not be deflected. It can also put out fire around him or on him (like on fire).

When activated, it merges it's former demonic appearance with the current body.
it keeps most of his facial features and his hair, though the rest of his body will become covered in more demonic features.


~Dexterity~
it is destroyed when Dante's essence fades, meaning it is destroyed when Dante dies.
It cant be destroyed without killing Dante because it merged his soul with him.

it can be used once a topic and only if he is either near death or angered greatly (seems never to happen), even then he will most likely supress it since he isnt the type. when it is activated, it can stay for 5 posts before Dante passes out.

I think i should get it in our topic, since we are rather close to eachother, like it could merge with me when we get to the part where i believe you and we can hug ^^
we might also need to make a topic on how to supress it.

I like the creativity and thought put into this, Dante. There are no problems as far as I'm aware ^^
